Warranty Policy

This Warranty Policy applies to all products sold by Evolution Lithium (“we”, “us”, “our”) through https://evolutionlithium.co.nz.
This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions, Limit of Liability, Return & Cancellation Policy, and Shipping Policy.
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).

1. Warranty Overview

Evolution Lithium provides a limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship when products are used under normal and intended operating conditions.
Warranty coverage, duration, and conditions may vary by product and will be specified on the relevant product page, invoice, or accompanying documentation at the time of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise:
Warranty coverage begins from the original date of purchase
Warranty applies only to the original purchaser
Warranties are not transferable

2. What the Warranty Covers

Subject to the terms of this policy, the warranty covers:
Manufacturing defects in materials
Manufacturing defects in workmanship
Product failures occurring during normal, intended use
Faults present at the time of supply
If a product is found to be defective under this warranty, Evolution Lithium will provide a remedy in accordance with Section 6 of this policy.

3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover damage, faults, or failures resulting from:
Incorrect installation, wiring, or configuration
Failure to follow supplied instructions or published specifications
Operation outside specified voltage, current, temperature, or load limits
Incompatible charging systems or vehicle electrical systems
Overcharging, deep discharge, or electrical abuse
Physical damage, impact damage, or vibration-related damage
Water ingress, corrosion, or environmental exposure
Modifications, alterations, disassembly, or unauthorised repairs
Negligence, misuse, or use outside intended car audio applications
Normal wear and tear or cosmetic damage
Damage caused by external events beyond our control (including accidents, fire, flooding, or power surges)
Any product showing evidence of tampering, modification, or unauthorised repair may be refused warranty assessment.

4. Installation and Use Responsibility

All Evolution Lithium products must be installed and used correctly.
We strongly recommend installation by a qualified automotive electrician or experienced car audio installer. Incorrect installation or unsafe wiring practices may result in damage not covered by warranty.
The customer is responsible for ensuring:
Proper cable sizing and protection
Appropriate fusing
Secure mounting
Adequate ventilation
Compatibility with the vehicle’s electrical system
Damage caused by improper installation or unsafe use is excluded from warranty coverage.

5. Making a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, you must:
Contact Evolution Lithium at sales@evolutionlithium.co.nz
Provide valid proof of purchase
Provide a clear description of the issue
Supply photos and/or videos if requested
Return the product for inspection if required
All claims must be made within the applicable warranty period.
We reserve the right to inspect, test, and assess all returned products before approving any warranty claim.

6. Warranty Remedies

If a warranty claim is accepted, Evolution Lithium may, at its discretion:
Repair the product
Replace the product with an equivalent or comparable item
Provide a refund of the purchase price
Repaired or replacement products may be new or refurbished and will be covered for the remainder of the original warranty period.

7. Shipping and Assessment Costs

Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with returning products for warranty assessment, unless otherwise required by law.
If a warranty claim is approved, return shipping back to the customer may be covered by Evolution Lithium.
Products damaged in transit must be reported immediately upon receipt in accordance with our Shipping Policy.

8. Consumer Guarantees Act 1993

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ).
If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on whether the failure is minor or substantial, as determined under the Act.

9.Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Evolution Lithium is not liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Loss of use or downtime
Loss of income or profits
Damage to other equipment or vehicles
Our liability is limited to the remedies outlined in this Warranty Policy and those required under New Zealand law, as further detailed in our Limit of Liability policy.
