The Heltec DS1004 Display Active Balancer is a 6-series (6S) intelligent active balancing module with an integrated voltage display, designed for lithium battery banks requiring precise cell equalisation and real-time monitoring.
Unlike standard non-display balancers, this version provides live cell voltage visibility, allowing users to observe pack behaviour during charge, discharge, and balancing cycles without external diagnostic equipment.

Working Principle
The DS1004 uses a capacitive energy transfer active balancing architecture.
Instead of dissipating excess energy as heat, the system:
Transfers charge from higher-voltage cells
Redistributes energy to lower-voltage cells
Engages the entire battery group simultaneously in the balancing process
This method improves efficiency and maintains pack consistency without resistive bleed loss.
